Research laboratories
The programme has, through the Recognised Research Groups based in the School of Computer Engineering, four research laboratories, equipped with the necessary resources for doctoral students and researchers to carry out their activities.
- Trasgo Laboratory (MOVIVAP-Trasgo Group)
- Computer Technologies Laboratory (GTI Group)
- Intelligent Systems Laboratory (GSI Group)
- Interaction Systems Laboratory (ECA-SIMM Group)
In addition, the Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the principal investigators of funded research projects attached to the department, develops a strategy of concentrating computational resources that provide centrally managed, updated and maintained computational and scalable storage services.
For example, in the case of the High-Performance Computing Models research line, specific hardware equipment is required to carry out specific performance tests, benchmarks, etc. For this reason, this group has and makes available to other groups with possible needs a set of GPUs (Graphical Processing Unit) consisting of:
- 1 x GTX480 480-cores 1.4Ghz
- 1 x GTX680 1536-cores 1.05Ghz
- 2 x Tesla K40c 2880-cores 745Mhz
- 7 x Titan Black 2880-cores 980Mhz
- 2 x Tesla Volta_V100 5120-cores 1.53Ghz
